This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Rock the River doing sound check

The people were coming. Overall, there were about 10,000 people that showed up!

Busy Busy Summer!!!!!..... but it has been all good! We just finished up Vacation Bible School at HealingPlaceChurch. I volunteered in the CRAZY and LOUD snack tent while all our little ones enjoyed water games, singing, dancing, crafts, and learning about Jesus! Yay!

Yesterday was Rock the River. I volunteered in a hot dog vendor while Tommy took the little ones to visit Grandma and Grampa. Me and Henry and Anthony got to hear some great music while doing that! Henry and Anthony went their own way and had some fun with some friends. It was super hot but wow to see all the people come together and rock for Jesus was awesome. Governor Bobby Jindal gave a great talk, Mayor Kip Holden was great and then Franklin Graham was amazing. Just like his Dad the message is simply you need Jesus! What a great event in our city!!
Oh, and I had to add the picture of Elijah's sweet time on the chair playing in the sink water. I looked over from being at our island and saw those cute little legs and instantly thought about how fast they grow!

HPC Vacation Bible School!

Well, Vacation Bible School is over and our children just loved it! This was their first year to go. It was very hard for Grace to watch some of her brothers and sisters go but I reassured her that she will get to go next year! She can't wait! While I was volunteering I snuck off to take a few shots of my precious children!! Asa and Mia were in the same color group and Rose and Zoe were in the same color group! Snowballs, Powerlab experiments, mice, lab coats, tacos, pudding, ice cream floats in the Test Tube Treat Tent, slime, Chowder, Praise and Worship, singing and dancing..... what child wouldn't love all that!! And I think they raised over $6,000 for the HPC in Africa for the children! Can't wait until next year! Thanks HPC for a terrific experience for our children and thanks Junior Counselors who were assigned to Zoe! All of you were the best!

Asa in the VBS Cookie Competition!

This morning at vacation bible school after I placed the children in their correct color groups in the main sanctuary of the church, I walked away to go start volunteering. As I was walking back in the sanctuary I noticed a cookie competition going on the stage. I got into watching the children race to see who could eat the two cookies the fastest and then drink a bottle of water. Little did I know that Asa was one of the children on stage!! I was so surprised to see him and so excited! He was so cute and very serious! He came in last but he was a cookie trooper!! And the junior counselors were cheering him on and sometimes eating a bite or two of his cookie to help him out!! This has been an awesome experience for them at VBS! Enjoy the videos!
