This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Matthew 18:20

Yesterday, before Amy went to be with our Lord, Pastor Dino had written a post about HPC not having Wednesday night service so that we could instead go to Bethany with Pastor Larry Stockstill and stand with them in prayer for Amy. Just so powerful to witness the coming together of different church's that are basically in the same communities. Well, this morning God opened my eyes to a whole new level of understanding for Matthew 18:20 thanks to Dino's post he wrote yesterday.

Matthew 18:20 says, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." When my simple human mind read this scripture in the past, I would limit it to read when two or three PEOPLE come together based on what the scripture was talking about.... but now I don't believe two or three is referring to just people. I believe it goes deeper than that! What about two or three families, or two or three communities, or two or three churches, or two or three nations!! Wow!

In Heaven!

This is from Joel Stockstill's website:

In Heaven
With both sadness and joy I regret to inform all of you that tonight February 11 at 9:40 pm my lovely wife Amy went to be with Jesus. This is a mighty victory and the half will never be known. With great love and appreciation to all who have joined with us.
Joel

Our hearts are filled with great sorrow for Amy's passing and at the same time I know she is now completely healed with her Jesus!! Please continue to lift up Joel as he walks this difficult path of losing his wife!
