This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

An Amazingly Abundant Beach Trip!

As you know from one of our previous posts, our church HPC blessed our family with a vacation to the beach in Destin Florida. Four nights and five days at Sandestin Beach Resort with beautiful weather, a white sandy beach, sounds of the waves, children laughing, playing, shell collecting, boogie boarding, and jellyfish catching! These are the memories I will take with me! The week was absolutely an abundant blessing from God! THANK YOU, HPC!!!!!

Along with this vacation came babysitters. Not just any babysitters but the world's best babysitters ever! We were so blessed to have Mollie and her Mom, Mrs. Carol, be our "nannies"!! I am a picky Mom and very overprotective about who watches our children and these two women gave me complete peace as we assigned which child/children they would watch that day. They showed so much love to our children even through some of the "toddler difficulties"!! We were also able to go on a date without all of the children at our side for an evening! Tommy and I also enjoyed very much Mrs. Carol's stories of the times she went to this resort with her husband, Mr. Charlie. I just cannot mention Mrs. Carol's name in this post without mentioning Mr. Charlie's name too. Mr. Charlie went to be with His Lord last year but Mrs. Carol keeps his spirit going! Thanks for sharing such beautiful memories with us, Mrs. Carol! I will cherish each one you told us: "under the boardwalk", his many projects at home, the landscaping, the sailboat and the storm..... We want to truly thank you, Mrs. Carol, and Mollie for the love you showed our family! We COULD NOT have gone on this vacation without you two! THANK YOU!!!!!

Mollie taking the toddlers out in the water in the waves!

Mrs. Carol, playing with the girls as they build their own "castle"!

Mollie and the toddlers having morning puzzle-time!

Mrs. Carol singing with Rose at Hammerheads! (She has a great voice too!)

Toddlers waiting for the next wave!

Asa boogie boarding!

We are going to the BEACH!!

I posted last week that we were very surprised at our home.....Well, our pastor has been doing a series on Vacations and at the beginning of the series he had told the church he will be sending one family on a vacation after the series. I never heard this because during this entire series I spent my time in the nursing room with my active 6 month old who refuses to enjoy nursery! So I did not get to hear alot of this series. Anyway, THE CHURCH STAFF GOT US GOOD! They had called us in the beginning of the week asking if they could come get the rest of our adoption story. This was not something that surprised us because they had interviewed us after our first two adoptions. Anyway, we prayed all week for God to tell us exactly what to say in hopes others would watch it and consider adoption! I had my notes.....I was ready!! So we are sitting at our table, cameras on, interview in progress and then there was a knock at our door..... it was one of our pastors, Mike Haman, dressed in beach attire! I don't remember anything he said except vacation and babysitters!! That's right!!!!! A vacation with babysitters!! WOW!!!!! So that was our surprise.....Our church chose our family to bless with a vacation! They are sending us to Destin, Florida!!!!! What an awesome blessing!!!!!

Thank you, God, for our "surprise" blessings!!!!!
Thank you, HPC!!!!!

Beautiful !

I "stole" this picture from Jason Ryder's blog. It's one of their vacation pics that I ran across just now through Dan's blog. It reminds me of the times Tommy and I would take our many spontaneous beach trips! I wouldn't change my life now but those small trips were such a blessing to me (and it was so much quieter than my days are now and nothing is spontaneous anymore except what ends up in our toddlers diapers! ha ha)
One day, Tommy, we'll have another date to the beach!!
