This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Hurricane Gustav!

Well, we are ready! We are protected by Him! It looks like Gustav is coming directly to us! Yikes!! Tommy has no worry though! He stands on Mat 6:25. This is one of his favorite scriptures! Psalm 91 is mine!! :) Tommy is outside right now with all the kiddos! I just took this picture and came to post it. My prayers are with all in Gustav's path! God is a big God! Definitely bigger than Gustav. Acts 7:49 "Heaven is His throne and earth is but His footstool" !!

Oh, and here is something so humbling!! Our family was on the front page of the Saturday paper's People and Faith section! It came about because my Mom was talking to another Grandmother in a pharmacy line about their grandchildren. Mom cannot mention her grandkids without telling of our family adoption birth story. (Actually neither of our Moms can not NOT mention our family story when talking about their grandchildren!) Anyway, when Mom finished this lady said that was a good story. Mom said with her sweet voice, "Yes, it is God's story." Then the lady said, "No, I mean this is a good story. I write for the newspaper." And that is how it got to be!! And then we thought it would be a small story but God had other plans. We always hope that God is given all the Glory for whatever attention we may get because it is ONLY because of Him that we have the family we have!!
