This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Smores from Grandma and Grampa, Bike accident, and Christmas Dresses!

We have been busy as I am sure all of you have been this holiday season! Grandma and Grampa brought all of us a smores kit. The children had these as a treat after supper on Sunday. They loved putting them together and they really loved eating them. Earlier that day, Asa had a bike accident! Broke our hearts!! He acts so fearless on the bike and was coming out of a driveway while we were walking down the road and was laughing and turning his wheel right and left and right and left and he ended up falling head first on the road. It is actually more swollen today than in these pictures but you can see it did not stop him from eating his smores!! :) GrandMother CC has decided she will buy him a bike helmet! Great idea!! Also, this day while we were swinging on the front swing, Asa said the sinner's prayer and asked Jesus to come live in his heart!! WoooHoooo! We have prayed this with our children before but this day Asa asked how does he get to heaven so I explained that Jesus needed to be his Lord and Saviour and that he would need to ask Jesus in his heart. He said he wanted to ask Him and so we did!! How exciting!

I also was able to finish the girls' Christmas Dresses. These were made out of an old chenille bedspread my MIL gave me! I have some red Boutique Bottoms to go with it but I need to do the elastic in the waist. Thanks to my wonderful husband for watching them while I finished this sewing project!!
