This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Summer Ending and Planning School Year!

Can you believe the first day of school is this Friday!!?? Remember when summer was three months! I remember! Me and my brother had so much fun during summer. Wake up at the crack of dawn, head outside to start playing with the neighborhood kids and not coming back inside until evening!! A day full of treehouse playing, monkey bars, baseball, bike riding, home made camps, Dirt Squirt gang, swimming lessons, swimming all day, babydolls, oh what fun we had!! (Ok, Matt did not play with the babydolls! That was me and Jill!) By the time summer was over I actually was ready for school! I was one of those kids who loved school! I loved the first day, the smell of the classrooms, the new school supplies, the new clothes, the new shoes! My children don't act that excited! :)
I will have three different schools to transport to.....pray for me! :) It's all good though! I made my schedule yesterday and God has allowed ample amount of time for Him, to get everybody to school on time, homeschool Asa and Rose, give naps to Elijah and Grace, cook meals, get to church and still have time to pick up the kiddos at school!! Thank you, Lord! About this time I have the urge to stand up and scream "I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROARRRRR!!!!! LOL :) And I have a great husband behind all this planning and doing!
I believe this school year I will do more crockpot cooking. If any of you have some good crockpot recipes, I need them! I will also be making a lot of stews.....potato, sausage, beef, shrimp, chicken! Kind of like Bubba Gump many shrimp..... I can make that many stews!! LOL
I will post some pictures soon. I cannot find my phone cord since we came back from the trip but as soon as I do I will have some pictures of us playing outside this weekend. Asa was practicing his soccer skills!!

Aimee' I'm tired already, just reading the schedule. So we both have a goal, You, getting the kids to school, on time, and me, finally coming home from the hospital. Wow, two great goals.
I hope the kids all do well. I pray that God will shine his divine glory on them and that all will excel.
Good Luck, and I love you all.

Whew! Busy busy!!! I liked the 1st day of school too!!! :)

You amaze me! I was just talking about you at the park yesterday. A man was there with his 2 kids - they adopted them from Russia. He mentioned how the adoption has weighed on their marriage and I wondered... AGAIN... how you do it?? You and Tommy have truly been given SUPERnatural grace! Amazing to see it with my own eyes!

Blessings and grace for the new school year! :)

BTW - I don't know the man but.. the fact that he mentioned how the adoption and the few struggles with connecting they've had with the kids really broke my heart. I did not pry (maybe a fault but didn't feel like I should ask more w/ a stranger) but felt sad that something they chose for their family was hurting them. They may have overcome but... they did break my heart. Anyway!

Blessings!
