This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Carrots, Green Veggies, and everything in between!

What do all those have in common?? Elijah will not eat any of it! Oh my WORD!!!! He is so picky! (Just like someone else I know.....TP!) So I am trying to get creative. The other morning I made some carrot pancakes..... Yes, you read correctly! I steamed some carrots just enough to be soft but not too much to get rid of all the vitamins in them. I mashed them up and mixed in some pancake batter and told Henry and Anthony not to say a word to the toddlers when I put them in front of their breakfast!! Well.....they LOVED them to my surprise!! And they never even asked what the orange things were. Henry and Anthony even liked them. But why wouldn't they.....isn't anything good with butter and syrup! Anyway, so I thought, wow if this worked with carrots then I am trying this for supper. So for supper I made Broccoli and Cheese pancakes. Elijah ate those too!! I had accomplished the impossible in our home..... kids and veggies with a smile!

So this morning I decided to try another veggie pancake..... spinach! Well, Elijah basically put that one bite in his mouth and spit it out as fast as it went in! So two out of three veggie pancakes were liked! I'm Ok with that!!
