This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoë, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

Thank you, my daughters!

Rose bringing me a flower!
Thank you, Rose!
Zoë bringing me a piece of grass!
Thank you, Zoë!

This is our special needs child. She will be six in August. I must say she is my most challenging to parent. I guess it is because there is just no reasoning with her. We really do not know a name for her special needs other than she was raised in an orphanage the first two years in her life where she never bonded with anybody. We see a tremendous difference in Rose, who was raised by two missionary women as their own, versus Zoë, who was raised in a government run orphanage. Although Zoë's physical needs were met, there is just something so important about love and nurture!

And here is brave little Rose sitting next to Zoë on the Gator as Zoë learns to ride it. Have you ever been in a car with someone learning to drive for the very first time and they keep pressing the gas and letting up and pressing the gas and letting up all the while you are forced forward then jolted backwards over and over again! Well, that is what Rose experienced while Zoë was learning to drive the Gator!

I love you, Rose! I love you, Zoë!

Oh how I wish I could ride with Zoë. She wants to be just like the others. But Rose is a brave girl. God Bless all of my sweet Grandkids.
