This Week's Scripture

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it." Deuteronomy 7:26

This Week's Prayer!

We invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell in these rooms, which belongs to Henry, Anthony, Zoƫ, Asa, Rose, Grace, and Elijah, and in Heidi, Angel, and Angela's room. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and we proclaim that You are Lord over their rooms as well. Flood it with Your light and life. We pray that You, Lord, will make their rooms a holy place, sanctified for Your glory. And may You also dwell in our room and in each one of our extended family and friend's rooms.

"Look, Ma, it's ALL gone!"

Of course, there is a story behind every picture. This particular story is about determination! It is lunchtime and the toddlers are eating sandwiches and raisins. I told them when they finished their sandwiches they will get some chips. Well.....all Grace heard was chips. She got down from her seat and met me in the kitchen begging me for chips. I told her that she had to eat her sandwich before she got chips. She did not like that! While she begged for chips and cried and whined for chips, her siblings finished their sandwiches and came in the kitchen to get their chips which only made her cry louder because she wanted hers. So I told her again if she finishes her sandwich (which was only a roll up sandwich) she could have chips. She continued to cry, whine and beg and all of a sudden it was silent and I turned and looked at her and this is what I heard and saw: Grace had her sandwich in her other hand and she had her plate in the air towards me saying, "Look, Ma, it's ALL gone!" As frustrated and flustered as she made me at all the whining and crying she did, I looked at her and just started laughing at her way of thinking and determination of getting her some chips!!

Lord, I pray that all my children have determination to live the life You have called them to live and accomplish what You have for them to accomplish!
